CBP ACE Information Notice Center Unique Identifier

On March 16, 2019, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will deploy a new field in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) known as the Center Unique Identifier (Center ID) which will identify an accounts’ assigned Center of Excellence and Expertise (Center).

What will change in ACE?

The Center ID will be an added field to the following Post Release applications in ACE for both CBP and the trade:

  • Entry Summary;
  • Entry Summary Liquidation;
  • Protest;
  • Court Case;
  • Accounts; and
  • Validation Activity.

The Center ID will also become a reportable field in ACE reports for the following data universes at a later date:

  • Entry Summary;
  • Protest; and
  • Liquidation.

The Center ID will help streamline processing for the Centers and will make it easier for trade to identify the assigned Center for each of their accounts and thus submit documents to the appropriate Center.

What additional resources are available?

  • An updated CATAIR is forthcoming and will be sent via CSMS and posted to CBP.gov when available.

Who do I contact if I have issues?

Technical questions should be addressed to your assigned Client Representative or the ACE Account Service Desk (ASD) at 188-530-4172 or ACE.Support@cbp.dhs.gov.
