Vessel Reporting Requirements

  • Private Vessels / Pleasure Craft with cellular access should download and access the CBP ROAM application to report arrival-- CBP Reporting Offsite Arrival – Mobile (ROAM) | U.S. Customs and Border Protection. 
  • Private Vessels / Pleasure Craft that are unable to download and utilize the CBP ROAM application must make a telephonic report of arrival to a CBP Officer at (503) 325-5541. Advanced notification of arrival intent is preferred.  
  • Non-US flagged Private Vessels / Pleasure Craft that have already obtained a Cruising License must still telephonically report arrival to this office for license update.
  • Commercial Fishing Vessels are required to tie up and report telephonically at the Astoria West End Mooring Basin fuel dock when arriving from outside the US, unless otherwise directed by this office.  Advanced notification of arrival intent is preferred.
  • The Astoria West End Mooring Basin is the designated first-stop arrival location for all Commercial Vessels arriving from outside the US unless prior approval is obtained in advance from the Port Director, CBP Seaport of Astoria.
