CBPO Jorge A. Arias

Customs and Border Protection Officer Jorge A. Arias passed away on October 19, 2022 from injuries sustained in a training accident at the Trail Glades Range in Miami, Florida. 

Officer Arias began his career with CBP in August of 2013 in Nogales, Arizona. At the time of his death, he was assigned to the Firearms Tactics and Training Division within Tactical Operations at Miami International Airport. He was also a U.S. Coast Guard Active Reservist and veteran. Some of his favorite pastimes included online gaming, softball, and rooting for the Miami Dolphins and Florida State Seminoles. 

He was survived by his wife and two children.
