Green Trade Innovation and Incentives Forum

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is excited to announce the Green Trade Innovation and Incentives Forum will take place on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 9:00 AM EDT to 5:00 PM EDT (with check-in starting at 8 a.m.)  The Forum will be hosted in-person at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia, with an option to join virtually via webinar.

Registration

Please note that registration deadline for the forum is 5:00 PM EDT, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 to attend the event virtually or in-person. You must be registered by the deadline. Only registered individuals will be able to attend the event.

The in-person event will be held at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, VA. Additional information regarding the location and venue will be shared following registration.

Virtual participation information will likewise be shared with individual registrants following registration.

Forum Goals

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Green Trade Strategy positions CBP as a champion for the green economy and a leader in the fight against climate change; it commits CBP to working with customs authorities, interagency partners and private sector entities around the world to develop greener standards for global trade while creating opportunities for government, industry and the broader public to unify efforts in the creation of a more sustainable future.  A brief video providing an overview of the Green Trade Strategy can be viewed here:  https://www.cbp.gov/video/opa/2023/cbp-green-trade-intro.mp4

The Green Trade Innovation and Incentives Forum will be an opportunity for members of the trade industry, technology, research and academic experts, non-governmental organizations, government interagency personnel, and other entities interested in Green Trade to share ideas related to green trade innovation, incentivization of clean and sustainable supply chains and environmental stewardship, and international trade decarbonization.

  • 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM – Opening Remarks, Keynote Presentations and Trade Sustainability Leadership Showcase

  • 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Public Statements and Open Public Comment on Green Trade Themes
