WASHINGTON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced today 39 tentative selections to continue the expansion of its public-private partnership for expanded services from incoming commercial and cargo traffic, as well as international traveler arrivals.
The Reimbursable Services Program allows private sector and state and local governments to reimburse the agency for additional inspection services in ports of entry that may be remote or work late hours to accommodate for growing demand.
WASHINGTON — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced today 21 tentative selections for new reimbursable services agreements that will promote cross-border trade and facilitate essential travel to the United States.
These public-private partnerships will allow approved private sector and state and local government entities to reimburse CBP for expanded services for incoming commercial and cargo traffic and international traveler arrivals in Arkansas; California; Colorado; Connecticut; Delaware; Florida; Georgia; Idaho; Illinois; Louisiana; Maryland; Nevada; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Oklahoma; Pennsylvania; Rhode Island; South Carolina; Texas; the U.S. Virgin Islands; Utah; and Washington.

PHARR, Texas – Working together with private sector, higher education partners, the South Texas Assets Consortium (STAC) and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), U.S. Customs and Border Protection is gaining up to 10 paid agriculture interns that learn valuable work skills while assisting CBP to process commercial produce shipments at Rio Grande Valley ports of entry.
