Numerous Aggravated Felons Arrested by U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector

EL PASO, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol Agents were hard at work this past month protecting our nation’s borders.

August statistics show that El Paso Border Patrol Agents arrested 17 aggravated felons this past month. Three in that group were members of several notorious gangs.

The most severe criminal charges consisted of the following: Child Molestation; Sexual Exploitation of a Minor; Enticing a Minor by Internet or Text; Indecent Liberties with a Minor; Trafficking Meth; Possession with Intent to Distribute; Assault; Rape; and Murder. These convictions took place in various locations throughout the U.S. to include Ohio, Indiana, Kansas, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas.

“El Paso Sector agents continue undeterred in their commitment to secure and protect our nation’s borders,” stated El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria I. Chavez.  “As a result of these great efforts, numerous criminal aliens were stopped from re-entering our communities.”
