Media Advisory: CBP Office of Field Operations Hosts Media Academy

TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations will host a media academy for credentialed members of the media at the Port of Nogales on May 30, 2019 at 8 a.m. to provide media outlets background on OFOs distinct role and responsibilities and overall mission.

Office of Field Operations is responsible for safeguarding America's borders thereby protecting the public from dangerous people and materials while enhancing the Nation's global economic competitiveness by enabling legitimate trade and travel at international land borders, sea ports, and airports.    

The academy program is designed to provide assignment editors and reporters an inside look into securing the border and becoming familiar with CBPs, Office of Field Operations mission, and participate in interactive demonstrations at the Port of Nogales.  RSVP at your earliest convenience since spots are limited.
