Illegal Aliens Arrested Attempting to Circumvent Checkpoint

LAREDO, Texas – Border Patrol agents arrested 10 illegal aliens from a human smuggling attempt west of the U.S. Highway 59 Checkpoint near Freer, Texas.

On September 4, the incident transpired when agents attempted to get a closer look at the vehicle.  The vehicle immediately attempted to abscond by driving through the fence line into the brush with its occupants exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot.  Agents followed the foot sign and eventually apprehended 10 illegal aliens in the brush.  The individuals were determined to be from the country of Mexico.

The vehicle was seized and the illegal aliens were processed accordingly.
