Tucson Sector Border Patrol to Facilitate Press Pool for Department of Interior Media Engagement on Southwest International Border

TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol will assist members of the media with access to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke during his first visit to the U.S./ Mexico border in Southern Arizona Saturday, March 17.

Due to the austere desert location of the media opportunity, Tucson Sector Public Affairs will provide transportation for a limited number of media representatives to cover the secretary’s tour along the border with Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodolfo Karisch.

RSVPs from credentialed members of the press will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Media representatives may reserve a slot with U.S. Border Patrol by contacting Tucson Sector Public Affairs by email at TCA-PAO@cbp.dhs.gov.

The press conference will take place along the Southwest Border. Media wishing to attend should be prepared for a daylong event, in a dry desert environment.
