LAREDO, Texas – On February 28, 2018, Border Patrol agents visited TM Transportation Services LLC to provide information on the Pre-Enrolled Access Commercial Traffic (PACT) Lane program. TM Transportation Services LLC Safety and Operations Staff provided Border Patrol agents with a tour of their facility, and an overview of their safety and security procedures. As a Customs – Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) certified company, TM Transportation Services LLC met eligibility requirements and was accepted into the PACT Lane program.
The PACT Lane program plays a critical role in expediting and facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel within the United States. The program has shown results in reducing wait times at Border Patrol Checkpoints for program participants. The PACT Lane program facilitates the transit of known, low risk, commercial drivers and conveyances by designating a lane solely for program participants transiting through the Laredo North Checkpoint on Interstate Highway 35. The program now has 17 participating companies and is looking to recruit additional trusted, low risk, transportation partners.
The program was developed in consultation with the Office of Field Operations in Laredo and C-TPAT. Those eligible to utilize the PACT lane are highway carriers who are C-TPAT certified/validated, and whose drivers are participants in one of the Customs and Border Protection Trusted Traveler Programs.
