Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Seize Over 320 Pounds of Marijuana

LAREDO, Texas – On April 6, 2018, Border Patrol agents seized 327.13 pounds of marijuana after responding to suspicious activity in Laredo, Texas.  Agents were able to recover five bundles of marijuana inside a vehicle after the driver and passenger fled on foot when they struck a street sign near Alamo Street and Santa Maria Avenue.  The marijuana had an estimated value of $297,709.00.  The driver, a Mexican National, and the passenger, a juvenile United States Citizen, were arrested.  The marijuana was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration and the vehicle was seized by Border Patrol.
