Border Patrol Agents Rescue Woman in Labor

EAGLE PASS, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station rescued a mother who delivered her newborn baby minutes before their arrival, Oct 8.

At approximately 9:20 p.m., agents responded to a 911 call for woman in labor. Agents quickly located the woman and her newly delivered baby, who were both in need of immediate medical assistance. A Border Patrol EMT provided critical care to the mother, a Honduran national and her newborn until EMS arrived on scene, EMS transported the family to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

After receiving medical care, the infant and her mother will be processed as per CBP guidelines.
