CBP and FEMA Hurricane Response 2018

CBP Port Director Scott Opalka and FEMA Indiana Task Force 1 Rescue Squad Officer Pedro Caceres discuss the cooperation between CBP and FEMA during the federal response to Hurricane Florence. U.S. Customs and Border Protection facilitated an operations base for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Indiana Task Force 1 (INTF-1) at CBP’s facility in the Wilmington International Airport, Wilmington, NC. INTF-1 has been conducting search and rescue operations and restoration of transportation routes since arriving on September 12, 2018.
