YUMA, Ariz. — Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents seized 254 pounds of marijuana, valued at approximately $127,000, and arrested three subjects.
Wellton Station agents stopped two northbound vehicles Nov. 11 on Highway 85 and discovered five backpacks containing marijuana in the backseat of one of the vehicles. The driver of one vehicle was arrested after admitting he entered the U.S. illegally. The driver and passenger from the vehicle containing the backpacks were also arrested. All three subjects, marijuana and vehicles were transported to Wellton Station for further processing.
