Mexican emergency services notified Yuma Sector that a call for assistance had been received from an individual claiming to be part of a group of three travelers who were lost and in distress. Members of Yuma Sector’s Search, Trauma & Rescue unit established communication with the caller who provided enough information for BORSTAR to guide Wellton Station agents working in the remote Camp Grip area to the location of the distressed illegal aliens.

Wellton Station agents located all three individuals, one of whom was vomiting and in need of an Emergency Medical Technician. Upon the EMT’s arrival, the individuals were triaged. The EMT medically cleared all three individuals upon re-evaluation. The illegal aliens did not require any additional medical treatment.

The three men, all Honduran nationals, were illegally present in the United States and are charged with immigration violations.
