Yuma Sector Agents Arrest Convicted Child Sex Offender

YUMA, Ariz. –Yuma Station Border Patrol agents arrested a convicted child sex offender from Honduras early Monday, after he illegally entered the United States.

The agents apprehended the adult male approximately two miles west of the Andrade Port of Entry. Agents transported the subject to the San Luis Port of Entry to conduct record checks where it was discovered that the man had served a two-year prison sentence for having sex with a minor in San Francisco, Calif. In 2019. Additional record checks also revealed two prior immigration removals.

The convicted sex offender was a 28-year-old who will be charged with immigration violations.
