U.S. Border Patrol Blotter, Blaine Sector

Blaine, Wash. The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations.  For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.

02/08/2014 – Agents responded to a call from a concerned citizen who observed a suspicious individual in close proximity to the U.S./Canada border near Sumas, Washington.  Agents arrived in the vicinity and located an individual matching the description provided.  The subject was determined to be a citizen of Honduras, unlawfully present in the United States.  Record checks revealed that the Honduran citizen had been previously removed from the United States.  The subject was arrested and processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal. 

02/08/2014 – Shortly after sunset, an operator of a Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS) observed a person illegally cross the international boundary in Blaine, Washington.  Agents responded to the area and located the individual walking south away from the border.  The subject, a citizen of India, was determined to be illegally present in the United States.  The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal. 

02/08/2014 – In the early evening hours, agents encountered two suspicious individuals in Blaine, Washington.  Agents determined both subjects were citizens of Honduras who were unlawfully present in the United States.  Record checks revealed that one of the two subjects had been previously removed from the United States.  Both Honduran citizens were arrested and processed for removal.

02/16/2014 – U.S. Border Patrols agents observed an individual walking south from the U.S./Canada border on a road not normally frequented by pedestrian traffic north of Lynden, Washington.  Agents determined the subject, a citizen of India, to be illegally present in the United States.  The subject was arrested and processed for removal.

02/17/2014 – Shortly before midnight, agents encountered a suspicious individual walking south from the U.S./Canada border in Blaine, Washington.  Agents determined the subject was a citizen of Canada who was unlawfully present in the United States.  The Canadian citizen was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
