EL PASO, Texas – Two men sought for sex crimes against children were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in El Paso.

On June 15, shortly after 2p.m., a 69-year-old Mexican male arrived from Mexico as a pedestrian. During processing CBP officers received confirmation that the male had an active warrant issued by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.

“CBP works closely with our law enforcement partners to bring wanted individuals to justice. The systems CBP officers employ routinely identify wanted persons,” said CBP El Paso Director of Field Operations Hector Mancha. “This is a great example of various agencies working together for a common goal.”

Both subjects were arrested by CBP officers and turned over to local authorities to face charges.
