EDINBURG, Texas – On June 1 the Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol added 13 new agents to the border.
These agents will be assigned to the McAllen and Rio Grande City, Texas Border Patrol Stations. The additional manpower assigned to the RGV Sector is a reflection of the continuing commitment of the Border Patrol to increase border security as well as increasing the security of our surrounding communities.
The Rio Grande Valley Sector is part of the South Texas Corridor, which leverages federal, state and local resources to combat transnational criminal organizations. To report suspicious activity, call the sector’s toll-free telephone number at 800-863-9382.
