Concealed subjects discovered by Kingsville Border Patrol Agents

On June 19, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Kingsville Station working Sarita checkpoint encountered an adult U.S. driver in the primary area.  After a service K9 alert, the driver was sent to the secondary area where further inspection of the trunk revealed three subjects concealed inside.  The subjects, all illegally present in the U.S., did not have any means of exiting by themselves should an emergency have occurred.  All three subjects were offered medical attention but declined.  The driver and the subjects were taken into custody.  The vehicle was seized by Border Patrol.

The case was referred to the Rio Grande Valley Sector Prosecutions Office.

The Rio Grande Valley Sector is part of the South Texas Corridor, which leverages federal, state and local resources to combat transnational criminal organizations. To report suspicious activity, call the sector’s toll-free telephone number at 800-863-9382.
