ROMA, Texas - Border Patrol agents assigned to the Rio Grande City Station seized more than 340 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of $273,368 on Dec. 9.
Multiple subjects were observed carrying bundles north from the Mexican riverbank. Agents conducted a thorough search of the area for the subjects and narcotics. The search resulted in the seizure of five bundles of marijuana.
Agents observed seven suspects absconding back into Mexico. The marijuana was transported to the Rio Grande City Station for processing.
