Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Agents rescue immigrants

FALFURRIAS, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Rio Grande Valley Sector rescued two undocumented immigrantsTwo immigrants rescued from trunk at checkpoint from inside the trunk of a car yesterday.

 On May 28th, a Pontiac sedan approached the Falfurrias Border Patrol checkpoint for an immigration inspection. During inspection, a service K9 alerted to the trunk of the car.  The vehicle was subsequently placed in secondary for further inspection, revealing two subjects concealed in the trunk.  Both subjects were offered medical attention but declined. 

 The driver, a US citizen, was taken into custody and the vehicle was seized. The case has been referred to the Rio Grande Valley Sector Prosecutions Office.
