EDINBURG, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents arrest two sexual offenders who illegally entered into the United States.
Wednesday morning, Rio Grande City agents working in Roma, Texas, apprehended four subjects after they illegally entered the United States. The group was transported to the station where records checks revealed that one subject, later identified as Rodolfo HERNANDEZ-Romero, a 35 year old Salvadoran man, had previously been arrested in Prince George’s County, Maryland for sexual assault of a minor. In 2007, HERNANDEZ-Romero was subsequently found guilty of a lesser charge, third degree sexual offense, and was sentenced to 10 years confinement.
Yesterday morning, Falfurrias agents working on Brooks County ranch lands encountered a group of 11 subjects attempting to circumvent the immigration checkpoint. Ater interviewing the subjects, agents determined they were all illegally present in the United States. During processing, records checks for a subject, later identified as Josue David RODRIGUEZ-Flores, a 31 year old man from Honduras, was arrested in 2013 for sexual assault in Harris County, Texas. In 2015, RODRIGUEZ-Flores was convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to six years confinement.
Border Patrol processed both subjects accordingly.
