RGV Sector Border Patrol Agents Arrest Three Sex Offenders

EDINBURG, Texas – Border Patrol agents recently arrested three sex offenders in the Rio Grande Valley.

Last Thursday, Brownsville agents observed and apprehended four illegal aliens after they entered the United States. During processing, record checks on a Mexican national revealed a previous arrest and conviction in Dallas, Texas, for improper photo/visual recording to arouse/gratify. The man received two years confinement for the crime. Additionally, record checks revealed the man has significant criminal history such as possession of cocaine, injury to a child/elderly/disabled with intentional bodily injury.

Yesterday afternoon, Fort Brown agents working in Brownsville, Texas, apprehended a Mexican national whose record checks revealed a previous arrest by the Northfield Police Department in Minnesota for criminal sexual conduct. The presiding judge sentenced the man to 1 year confinement.

This morning, McAllen agents working in Havana, Texas, arrested a Mexican national after he illegally entered the United States.  During processing, the man’s record checks revealed multiple arrests and convictions in Hidalgo County. His last encounter with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office resulted in his arrest for sexual assault of a child. The man received 42 month’s confinement for the crime.

Border Patrol is processing the subjects accordingly.
