NOGALES, Ariz. — Hundreds of rounds of ammunition headed for Mexico were seized Jan. 28 by Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the Port of Nogales.
CBP officers conducting routine outbound operations at the Mariposa crossing referred Clifton Wixson, 29, of Glendale, Arizona, for further inspection of his Ford truck. During the inspection, officials located multiple boxes and loose rounds of ammunition of various calibers.
Officers seized the ammunition and truck, and turned Wixson over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
