Multi-agency efforts lead to apprehension of 31 subjects in Rio Grande Valley stash house; 18 other subjects were also arrested

PALMHURST, Texas – Yesterday at approximately 3:00 pm, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Sector along 35 subjects were apprehended at this stash housewith other local and state law enforcement agencies conducted a consent to search at a residence in Palmhurst, Texas.                                    

The search originated after a DPS traffic stop in Pharr, Texas revealed eighteen undocumented subjects concealed inside a box trailer. This stop with 18 subjects led to a larger apprehension Additional information led law enforcement to the residence in Palmhurst, Texas, resulting in the apprehension of 31 undocumented subjects.  A total of 49 undocumented subjects were apprehended as a result of these enforcement actions.

McAllen Homeland Security Investigations Office is leading the investigation.
