TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the Port of Douglas arrested a 33-year-old woman from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico on Feb. 8 after finding more than 98 pounds of marijuana concealed throughout the GMC truck.

Officers seized the marijuana, worth nearly $49,000, and vehicle. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations took custody of the woman.

CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
