Douglas CBP Officers Seize $38K in Marijuana

TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a Douglas woman during a failed smuggling incident June 4 at the Port of Douglas.

Officers arrested Erlinda Espinosa, 34, after an inspection of her Honda sedan led to the discovery of 57 packages of marijuana weighing nearly 77 pounds and worth more than $38,000.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and referred Espinosa to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
