EDINBURG, Texas – Border Patrol agents arrest a sex-offender and a convicted murderer.
On Tuesday morning, McAllen agents working near Mission, Texas, arrested a Mexican national, later identified as Jose Grimaldo-Requena, whose record checks revealed a previous arrest in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Police Department arrested Grimaldo-Requena for sexual assault of a child and a judge sentenced him to eight years incarceration.
The following evening, Weslaco agents working in Donna, Texas, arrested a Mexican national after he illegally entered the United States. During processing, record checks revealed an arrest and charge in Hidalgo County for “Murder-Intentionally Causing Death,” a 1st degree felony.
Both subjects were referred for Federal prosecution.
