ROMA, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol discovers a Guatemalan national with a conviction for sexual assault.
On Sunday evening, Rio Grande City agents working near Roma, Texas, arrested a Guatemalan national, later identified as Elmer GOMEZ-Chilmer. Record checks for GOMEZ-Chilmer revealed a previous arrest and conviction in Santa Ana, California, for sex with a minor. GOMEZ-Chilmer received three years probation.
Border Patrol referred GOMEZ-Chilmer for criminal prosecution.
