CBP Officers Seize $77K of Methamphetamine

TUCSON, Ariz. — A Mexican national is in custody following a seizure of nearly 26 pounds of methamphetamine at the Port of Nogales on Saturday.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dennis DeConcini crossing apprehended Yaneth Azucena Tirado-Guzman, 31, of Nogales, Sonora, after a CBP narcotics detection canine helped officers find approximately $77,000 worth of meth in the rear quarter panels of her GMC SUV.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and referred Tirado to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
