Border Patrol Agents Rescue Lost Subjects

Brackettville, Texas U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Brackettville Station located and rescued two Mexican nationals after they called for assistance, Aug. 18.

Border Patrol agents received a call for assistance from two men who were lost in a rural area near Spofford. Agents determined their approximate location and began an extensive search of the area. A CBP Air and Marine Operations helicopter crew was also dispatched. Throughout the evening and into the next morning, agents continued the search, eventually locating the lost and disoriented individuals. The subjects were later identified as citizens of Mexico who had crossed the border illegally. They were taken into custody and evaluated by medical professionals.

All illegal aliens are processed per CBP guidelines.
