OCOTILLO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents from the El Centro Sector successfully rescued an illegal alien Sunday morning.

The rescue occurred at approximately 5:25 a.m., when El Centro Sector Radio Communications Dispatch received a call from California Highway Patrol communications of a distress call from an illegal alien who had made an illegal entry into the United States, stating he was lost. Border Patrol agents began a rescue operation provided only with landmarks.

Agents encountered an individual near Ocotillo and provided him with water. The agents determined that the man, an illegal alien from Mexico, had placed the distress call.  The individual stated he required no medical attention and was then transported to the El Centro Station immigration rally point where he was expelled back to Mexico.
