JACUMBA, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents from the El Centro Sector aided two men that were lost in the mountains Tuesday night.

At approximately 10:56 p.m., El Centro Sector Radio Communications Dispatch received a call from Calexico Police Department in regards to a distress call of a subject stating he is lost and in need of assistance.  Border Patrol agents were provided with the subject’s name and phone number and attempts to call the subject were unsuccessful.

At 12:02 a.m., a security guard at the Davies Valley border wall construction site notified agents that the lost subject was at his location.  Agents responded to the area and determined that the subject was indeed the previous caller who stated he was lost.  Agents requested Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to provide additional heat injury treatment for the subject.  The lost subject stated that a second subject was walking with him but was further south of his location.  After a brief search, agents located the second subject and EMS provided treatment to him as well.

Both men were determined to be illegal aliens from Mexico, declined further medical attention and were transported to the El Centro Station immigration rally point for further processing.

The men, both Mexican citizens was expelled back to their country of origin.
