Border Patrol Agents Arrest Three, Seize Marijuana Valued at $112,500

YUMA, Ariz. — Yuma Border Patrol Sector agents assigned to Wellton Station, tracked and arrested a group of illegal aliens, and seized 225 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $112,500, on Jan. 26.

Agents were tracking footprints in the desert near Gila Bend when they found nine abandoned bundles containing marijuana.  The agents continued to follow the footprints from the site of the marijuana, and caught up to three individuals.  The trio admitted to entering the U.S. illegally, and were arrested.

The marijuana and all three subjects were processed per Yuma Sector guidelines.
