Bundles seized by Rio Grande City Border Patrol Agents

EDINBURG, TEXAS – U.S. Border Patrol Agents from the Rio Grande City Station confiscated more than $900,000 worth of marijuana during several seizures.

In the largest of the three seizures, Border Patrol Agents observed several subjects carrying several large bundles of marijuana near Salineño, Texas. As the agents approached, the subjects dropped the bundles and scattered towards the Rio Grande.  After an immediate search of the area, a total of 38 bundles were discovered weighing more than 570 pounds.  The narcotics were transported to the Rio Grande City, Texas Border Patrol Station for processing and final disposition.
