$2.5 million in cocaine seized by Border Patrol Agents

FALFURRIAS, Texas - Agents arrested a man and a woman attempting to smuggle nearly 80 pounds of cocaine with an estimated value of more than $2.5 million through the Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint on U.S. Highway 281 North on Dec. 11.

A Nissan Sentra with two occupants arrived at the checkpoint for an immigration inspection. During the inspection, a K-9 alerted to the vehicle. During secondary inspection, 32 bundles of cocaine were found hidden in a secret compartment.
