YUMA, Ariz. — Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to Wellton Station seized 341 pounds of marijuana on Jan. 28, worth an estimated $170,500, and arrested five suspects.
Wellton Station agents patrolling near Gila Bend approached a group of individuals walking north toward Interstate 8. When agents arrived at the location, they found eight backpacks filled with marijuana. Agents searched the area and located the suspects.
All subjects and the marijuana were processed per Yuma Sector guidelines.
