YUMA, Ariz. — Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to Wellton Station seized 430 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $215,000, Feb.4.
The agents were patrolling near the Cabeza Prieta Wildlife Refuge when they spotted footprints of a small group. They followed the tracks and located three individuals, and seized 16 bundles of marijuana.
The three subjects admitted to entering the U.S. illegally, and were consequently arrested.
The subjects and marijuana were processed per Yuma Sector guidelines.
