ABI Error Message Dictionary Instructions

The ABI Error Message Dictionary contains detailed explanations on over 1400 error messages that are generated when a filer's transmission is rejected by ABI. For best results, the file should be downloaded and saved as a file. 

Download Instructions:  

Internet Explorer: Right click the link and choose "SAVE TARGET AS" from the drop-down menu. Fill in the file location you desire.

Netscape Navigator: Right click the link to the PDF file and choose "SAVE AS" from the drop-down menu. Fill in the location you desire.

The information is in the following format:

Column 1 (Error Code): 3 digit error code returned by ABI
Column 2 (Description): Short description of the error returned by ABI
Column 3 (Narrative): Explanation not returned by ABI with the error's possible causes and solutions.
