EAPA Action: Notice of Initiation in EAPA Case 7801 - Aluminum Extrusions From China

WASHINGTON— On May 30, 2023, CBP issued the notice of initiation of investigation for EAPA case 7801 filed by the Aluminum Extrusions Fair Trade Committee (“AEFTC”), against U.S. importer, Minth Mexico Coatings S.A. de C.V. (“Minth Mexico Coatings”) for evasion of the applicable AD/CVD orders A-570-967 and C-570-968 on aluminum extrusions from China. Specifically, the allegation suggested that Minth Mexico Coatings transshipped Chinese-origin aluminum extrusions it imported into Mexico and re-exported to the United States. CBP has determined that there is evidence reasonably suggesting evasion of AD/CVD duties by Minth Mexico Coatings and, therefore, CBP issued a formal notice of initiation of investigation (NOI).
