On July 26, 2017 A webinar was held to discuss The Automated Customs Broker’s Exam. Some key points that were reviewed in the webinar were, automating the exam; modernization, registration, location, environment and a sample exam link and results notification was provided. Also discussed during the webinar were the recent Executive Orders (EO) and guidance documents affecting the regulatory environment.
Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Webinar on Mandatory Filing (June 20, 2017)
A National Webinar for Trade was held on June 20, 2017 with representation from DEA and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). DEA gave a presentation on New Import and Export Regulations for Controlled Substances and Listed Chemicals.

APHIS and FDA Webinar for Nogales Filers (June 9, 2016)
The BIEC hosted a webinar with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the Food and Drug Administration FDA to provide a forum for the filers in Nogales to ask detailed questions of subject matter experts prior to the FDA ACE filing deadline of June 15th. Much of the discussion revolved around the importation of produce.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ACE/ITDS Pilot Webinar (March 29, 2016)
On March 29, 2016, U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Trade Relations and FDA’s Office of Enforcement and Import Operations hosted a webinar to provide an update on the status of the ACE/ITDS pilot, and offered users the opportunity to learn how to prepare and participate in the pilot. The webinar helped users understand FDA’s data requirements for processing entries in ACE, specifically, Animal and Veterinary products, and Biologics.
Data Elements in the FDA Supplemental Guide - (March 23, 2016) Food and Drug
Wednesday, March 23, 1:30-3:00 P.M. ET BIEC and CBP hosted the below webinar. FDA ACE Webinar - Change to Four (4) Data Elements in the FDA Supplemental Guide FDA is amending their ACE requirements for four (4) data elements that are currently listed in their supplemental guide where the information is not known/available. This webinar was held to discuss these changes and the impact on electronic entry submissions through ACE for affected articles under FDA jurisdiction.

Tuesday, March 8th from 11:00 to 12:00 a.m. ET , BIEC EEC hosted a webinar with the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to orient those who import Pesticides and Pesticidal Devices on what they can do to test electronic filings through ACE and to participate in the pilot program underway. Topics discussed were over view of the pilots including those that are and are not limited to 9 or fewer importers and exporters, lessons learned, test filings in the CBP certification environment, pilot filings/shipments in production, and questions and answers.
