U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will host the 2023 Trade Facilitation and Cargo Security (TFCS) Summit on April 17-19 at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport and virtually via webcast. Sessions will include discussions highlighting the latest requirement updates and best practices for navigating today’s complex supply chain challenges.

In-Person Registration Information

  • The registration fee is $320.00 U.S. dollars for in-person (non-government) attendees. Registration must be completed online, and payment must be made by credit card. Registrations will be confirmed and processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • The registration fee includes beverages and light refreshments during the breaks and lunch for all three days.
  • Federal government employees will be complimentary.
    • All title 5 Executive Agency employees must follow travel and relocation policies, including those on temporary duty travel allowances. See Federal Travel Regulations, 41 C.F.R. §§ 301-11.18, 301-74.21 (41 C.F.R. §§ 301-11.18, 301-74.21). Employees eligible to receive per diem expenses must adjust their Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE) allowance to account for meals furnished by CBP.
  • Requests for special needs should be addressed to TFCSSummit@cbp.dhs.gov.
  • You will be able to request a vegetarian/vegan meal during online registration by Thursday, April 6 at 4:00 p.m. ET. Kosher meals will not be available.
  • Members of the press interested in covering the event should contact the CBP Office of Public Affairs at cbpmediarelations@cbp.dhs.gov.

Webcast Registration Information

  • The registration fee is $24.00 U.S. dollars for virtual (non-government) attendees. Registration must be completed online, and payment must be made by credit card. Registrations will be confirmed and processed on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Federal government employees will be complimentary. Complimentary registrations for federal government employees are limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Federal government employee participation must be approved by your immediate supervisor.
  • Embassy employees will be complimentary when attending virtually only, due to limited space.
  • Virtual registrants will receive an access link for the webcast by Friday, April 14 to view the General Sessions, Breakout Sessions, and Keynote Luncheons for April 17-19. Exhibits and workshops will not be webcasted.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your registration with a refund, we must receive your request at TFCSSummit@cbp.dhs.gov on or before Friday, March 24. No exceptions will be made. Refunds take approximately 1-3 weeks to be fully processed. If you wish to cancel or transfer your registration with no refund, notify TFCSSummit@cbp.dhs.gov on or before Thursday, April 6. Please include your full name and confirmation number and we will process your request. Registration transfers must be in writing and include the full name of the registered attendee, confirmation number, and new attendee's full name and email address. CBP will follow the federal government operating status as indicated on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management's website, including specifics for employees located in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, a natural disaster, or state of emergency, CBP will refund all registration fees within 14 days. Please note that it can take up to 90 days to be fully processed.
 

Lodging and Transportation Information

CBP has confirmed a limited hotel room block for attendees and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All arrangements and expenses for lodging are the responsibility of the attendee. The room block link will be included in your registration confirmation email. 

  • Hotel & Event Venue: Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, 450 Summer Street, Boston, MA 02210
  • Guest Room Wi-Fi: Sign up for Select Guest to receive free in-room Wi-Fi.
  • Parking: Find parking rates at the South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center. It is attached to the Omni Boston Hotel.
  • Nearest Airport: Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) - 2.8 miles
  • Nearest Train: South Station is the closest train station to the hotel.
    • 10-minute walk to the hotel via Summer Street or
    • 4-minute connection to the Silver line from South Station and get off at World Trade Center stop (2 stops).
  • Things to Do in Boston: Explore the area's attractions and events.

Global Entry

Interviews hosted by CBP for Global Entry will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis by appointment only for applicants already in conditional status. You will have an opportunity to request an appointment during event registration. Canceled event registrations will void your Global Entry appointment.

The Center Directors will provide one-on-one discussions to answer questions from the Summit participants. Registrants will reserve an interview time slot during the registration check-in at the Summit. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Credits

Each session qualifies for Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) and Certified Export Specialist (CES) credits. CBP will provide an event attendance confirmation letter containing instructions for requesting the credits to all confirmed attendees, post-event.
 

On-Site Photography

CBP will have photographs taken throughout the Summit and use them as official CBP photos on CBP.gov. Unless this permission is revoked in writing to CBP, by virtue of attendance, all Summit visitors agree to the use of their likeness in such materials.
