Unique 9903 Harmonized Tariff Schedule Numbers (HTS) have been created and combined to the current tariff numbers, to identify all Refined Sugars and Specialty Sugar Periods.  On June 30, 2016 tariff number 1701.99.1010 expired; the replacement tariff numbers are 1701.99.1015 and 1701.99.1017.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Please refer to chapter 99, subchapter IV, U.S. note 1 for the list of countries that are not subject to additional agricultural safeguard duties under heading 9904.  Imports from these countries should be presented as a type 02 entry using the high rate (over-quota) tariff number provided for in chapters 17 or 21, without the chapter 99 HTS number.  These entries the must still be reported through the ACS quota module as a 02 entry type.  After ACE Deployment the over-quota entry summaries will be type 01.
