DEL RIO, TEXAS — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) Laredo Field Office will extend the SENTRI (Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection) lane hours of operation Friday through Sunday.
Beginning Friday, June 10, 2022, the Del Rio Port of Entry, located on Texas Spur 249 in Del Rio, Texas will extend normal operating hours of the SENTRI lane from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., Friday through Sunday. This change is due to a growing increase in Trusted Traveler membership.
WASHINGTON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler Programs topped 10 million total members during the month of March, and is expected to receive 3.5 million applications for this fiscal year, the most the program has ever received in one year.
Nearly 8 million of these memberships are part of the Global Entry program, which is available at 61 U.S. airports and 15 international Preclearance locations. A portion of the membership is also made up of citizens from the program’s 13 partner countries.
WASHINGTON—Officers at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have noticed an increasing number of third-party sites attempting to mimic official U.S. government websites or claiming to assist with applying for the Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP), including Global Entry, Sentri, FAST and NEXUS. While this may seem like a convenient alternative, these companies can be quite expensive to the traveler and are not necessary.
