Extended Hours of Operation for the SENTRI Lane at the Del Rio Port of Entry

DEL RIO, TEXAS — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) Laredo Field Office will extend the SENTRI (Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection) lane hours of operation Friday through Sunday.

Beginning Friday, June 10, 2022, the Del Rio Port of Entry, located on Texas Spur 249 in Del Rio, Texas will extend normal operating hours of the SENTRI lane from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., Friday through Sunday. This change is due to a growing increase in Trusted Traveler membership.

CBP Surpasses 10 Million TTP Members

WASHINGTON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler Programs topped 10 million total members during the month of March, and is expected to receive 3.5 million applications for this fiscal year, the most the program has ever received in one year.

Nearly 8 million of these memberships are part of the Global Entry program, which is available at 61 U.S. airports and 15 international Preclearance locations. A portion of the membership is also made up of citizens from the program’s 13 partner countries.

Third-Party Sites Unnecessary for TTP Enrollment

WASHINGTON—Officers at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have noticed an increasing number of third-party sites attempting to mimic official U.S. government websites or claiming to assist with applying for the Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP), including Global Entry, Sentri, FAST and NEXUS. While this may seem like a convenient alternative, these companies can be quite expensive to the traveler and are not necessary.

CBP to Temporarily Halt Vehicular Traffic at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge to Host International Bridge Ceremony on Feb. 19

LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Laredo Port of Entry would like to advise the traveling public of the temporary halt in vehicular traffic at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge the morning of Feb. 19 to host the International Bridge Ceremony, known as the Abrazo Ceremony.

SENTRI Inspection Leads CBP to Interception of 47 Live Roosters/Hens at Laredo Port of Entry

LAREDO, Texas –CBP officers and agriculture specialists at the Laredo Port of Entry intercepted a large clutch of live poultry hidden throughout a vehicle over the weekend.  A total of 47 fighting roosters and hens were discovered in one enforcement action at the Gateway to the Americas Bridge.

Gateway to the Americas Bridge Hours Modified

LAREDO, Texas – In an effort to alleviate traffic coming from Mexico-U.S. and vice-versa, the City of Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz, Port Director Alberto A. Flores, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials, and representatives from the city of Nuevo Laredo and Mexican Customs met to discuss the extension of hours of operation at International Bridge I on Thursday, September 9. CBP Announces Modifications to Expand SENTRI-only Vehicular Traffic Processing Hours at Gateway to the Americas Bridge

LAREDO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) Laredo Port of Entry is planning to implement facilitation measures to assist the traveling public with their experience while utilizing SENTRI lanes as a method of travel. As one of its measures, CBP is announcing modifications to expand its SENTRI-only vehicular traffic processing window at the Gateway to the Americas Bridge.
