Border Patrol Thwarts Coordinated 4-Vehicle Border Rush in Hodgdon, Maine

HODGDON, MAINE – On November 21, 2023, Border Patrol apprehended 20 Romanian nationals in Hodgdon, Maine after four vehicles were observed crossing the international boundary from Canada into the United States. Agents were alerted to illegal crossing at approximately 6:10 am, responding to the area and encountering the vehicles on Lincoln Road.

Four Locals Arrested for Transporting Migrants After a Yola with over 50 Migrants Makes Landfall Near Isabela, Puerto Rico

Border Patrol Breaks Ground on New Station in Champlain, New York

CHAMPLAIN, NY – On August 2, Swanton Sector Border Patrol conducted a ground-breaking ceremony in Champlain, NY., commemorating the beginning of construction on a new Border Patrol Station.

The 36,000-square-foot facility is scheduled for completion in August 2025 and is designed to accommodate 50 Border Patrol agents and support staff.

CBP Releases June 2023 Monthly Update

WASHINGTON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) today released operational statistics for June 2023, which show a significant and continuing decline in migrant encounters along the Southwest border as well as successful drug interdiction efforts resulting from new enforcement initiatives. CBP’s total encounters along the Southwest border in June were the lowest in over two years, dropping nearly a third from May.
