“At approximately 8:47 a.m., on October 17, 2015, a Customs and Border Protection officer assigned to the Otay Mesa Cargo port of entry in San Diego was involved in an off-duty shooting incident that resulted in the death of an individual in Chula Vista, California. U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Internal Affairs and the San Diego Office of Field Operations are cooperating with the Chula Vista Police Department, who is leading the investigation. All questions at this time should be directed to Chula Vista Police Department.”
