The 6-month-old baby Border Patrol agents encountered in the Rio Grande Valley Friday night is currently in stable condition. The baby has been transferred from CBP to the custody of ORR and in the interest of providing the needed care, was transported from Corpus Christi to Nexus Children’s Hospital in Houston. The father, Carlos Zelaya-Romero, who has a criminal history and multiple prior removals, has been transferred to the custody of ICE ERO in Houston.
