CBP Statement on Death of Mexican National in Nogales

"The men and women of U.S. Customs and Border Protection are saddened to report that a 47-year-old man from Mexico died Sunday from significant injuries sustained after falling from the international boundary fence in Nogales, Ariz. On the evening of June 18, agents responded to the incident along with Nogales Fire Department and Nogales Emergency Medical Services who immediately transported the unresponsive man with to the hospital with significant injuries to the right side of the head and right arm.  In the following days, the man underwent surgery to drain fluid from his brain but ultimately succumbed to his injuries Sunday.”
