Washington - U.S. Customs and Border Protection congratulates Wireless Program Manager, Rebel McFetridge, for the honor of being awarded with a 2010 General Services Administration Interagency Management Council Award for Individual Technical Excellence for her role in implementing the Telecom Expense Management program at CBP. Ms. McFetridge will received the honor today at the GSA Network Services Conference in Orlando, Fla.
"This award honors the hard work and dedication of Ms. McFetridge and her team to leverage technology that enables CBP to modernize its enterprise systems and provide efficiencies for more effective operations," Charles Armstrong, CBP CIO.
Under the GSA's Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative Telecom Expense Management contract, CBP continues to gain visibility and control into wireless costs and establishes standardized procurement and management procedures for wireless assets. The daily and monthly management, procurement, and payment of CBP's wireless accounts remain de-centralized and in the direct control of CBP's 289 Wireless Account Coordinators under the oversight and guidance of Ms. McFetridge.
